The Pearl East opened in 1987 and is designed by Dan Maples. It was completely renovated in 1999. In 2008, Golf Digest gave it a 4 star rating in its "Best Places to Play" list. It is a traditional parkland layout, winding through forests and many scenic views. The greens are crowned and require great touch to get the ball close.
