About The Area

The city of North Myrtle Beach consists of four formerly independent beaches: Windy Hill, Crescent Beach, Ocean Drive, and Cherry Grove. The four beaches consolidated in 1968 to make North Myrtle Beach what it is today. The year-round population now is around 12,000 residents. North Myrtle Beach has about nine miles of oceanfront beach and one fishing pier located in the Cherry Grove section. There are rumors that one or two other piers may be built in the future. The Grand Strand area has its own International Airport which is only 15 miles from North Myrtle Beach. The Grand Strand has over 18 million visitors annually. Our area boasts about having over 100 golf courses - some of the best in the country. And if you get hungry, the Grand Strand has over 1800 Restaurants to choose from, such as Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville, House of Blues and all of the local fresh seafood restaurants. And if you want to catch a show try, Alabama Theatre, Medieval Times, Legends in Concert, Carolina Opry, the Pirates Voyage Adventure Show and Wonderworks, a 50,000 Square foot upside down-home/amusement park. North Myrtle Beach has its own Main Street, with family-owned homestyle restaurant Hoskins, Flynn's Irish Pub, International Tavern, and ice cream and candy shops. We also have a season OD Amusement Park for all kids.

Just a couple miles north is Cherry Grove with the famous Cherry Grove Pier, known by locals and visitors as one of the best fishing spots along the east coast.

With Myrtle Beach and all its attractions just minutes away, North Myrtle Beach is a great place to vacation, away from all the heavy traffic and hustle of Myrtle Beach.
